Gallery
In
late May 2008 Phil was pleased to announce the opening of his Gallery - 'The
Gallery at Laurieston' - the launch was well attended by many locals
and invited guests. The Gallery received huge praise for its atmosphere and
ambience being converted from the former byre and stables into a dedicated
workspace studio and gallery to display Phil's work.
The 'Gallery at Laurieston' can, unsurprisingly, be found in Laurieston
on the Gatehouse-of-Fleet road. Laurieston is situated about six miles
north-west of Castle Douglas on the popular and very scenic New Galloway to
Kirkcudbright road and is surrounded by woods, lochs, countryside and is within half a mile of the famous Red Kite feeding station at Bellymack Hill Farm.
The
Gallery is open every Sunday (and most Saturdays throughout the summer months),
it is best call in advance if travelling any distance to ensure the Gallery is
open - however, please feel free to call to arrange a convenient time for
your own private viewing - Phil can't promise a cuppa but the
chances are good!!
On
display are a wide variety of images in many different styles and sizes, a
framing service is offered and orders can be taken for a prompt turnaround -
a chip and pin service is available for sales etc.
Images
range from Galloway Greetings Cards through to large-scale installments.

Phils
career and work was recently featured in the excellent 'DGB Life' magazine
which is the well-respected homes, arts, gardens and lifestyle bi-monthly
magazine for the South-West Scotland region who had this to say,
"Phil's
gallery, in a beautifully converted byre at the side of his home in Laurieston
is a colourful shrine to his favourite photographic subjects the great outdoors ....and her (Mother Earths) fabulous bounty".
The magazine
also had to say of Phil's work, that, "His pictures - are captivating
and atmospheric, drawing you in so that you can almost feel the wind blowing
across the fields, hear the roar of a waterfall, the crash of waves over rocks
on the beach and feel wet, jewel-like pebbles in your hand".
Phil
looks forward to welcoming you to his Gallery and workspace.
